RELIANCE INSURANCE/RELIANCE SURETY SIGN. This is a wall sign for the Reliance Insurance/Surety Companies. This came off the wall of a Reliance Brance Office. Reliance, was one of the oldest insurance carriers in the United States, having been founded in 1817 (when it was the Fire Association of Philadelphia). The Fire Association Fire Mark is one of the most recognisable and collectible marks. Reliance filed for bankrupcy in 2000, so there items are becoming very hard to find. This sign is in a gold/brass finish and measure approximately 10.0"X 10.0".
