ENGINE! - ENGINE! - FIRE PROTECTION BOOK. This is an 11-3/4" x 8-7/8" soft covered book titled "Enjine!-Enjine!" This is the story of fire protection by Kenneth Holcomb Dunshee. It was published by Harold Vincent Smith for the Home Insurance Company in New York and is copyright 1939. The cover art is titled, "The American Fireman Rushing to the Conflict" and is from an 1885 Currier & Ives Litho. There are 64 pages picturing the old engines, tools, marks, insurance emblems, helmets, shields, etc., along with the stories behind them. Cover does show some age and wear. The inside pages are in very good condition. A must for any collector of firefighting or insurance memorabilia.
